Junior Linked Data Modeller (Portishead, Bristol) TL258

Epimorphics is hiring for someone with an affinity for data modelling and making sense of intricate data.

Growing fast, we are ready to mentor a postgraduate - or someone with a theoretical, academic or industry-gained grounding in data design - to become a skilled Linked Data Modeller, creating solutions that simplify complex data.

We're an exciting company at the forefront of open data publication in the UK, often working on projects of scale and which have a positive benefit for society. You'll be collaborating with and learning from the people who helped define international standards in RDF, linked data and semantic web technology. For example, some of our team chaired the RDF working group for W3C and co-chaired the W3C Technical Architecture Group when it produced the architecture of the Web.

We work with many clients with data rich problems helping them to design, update and improve data models, ontologies and data standards. This role is at the centre of that exciting development. Building on your strengths, you will soon be delivering at pace with the team working on multiple concurrent projects in the public and private sector, gaining valuable experience at the cutting edge of data on the web technology.

We're looking for someone whose study or work has included designing data, ideally with linked data. We value a passion for working with structured data and a real world appreciation for how data is used. We will encourage your active participation in the data community.

This is a great way to build on your theoretical studies or research, benefiting from a career path that you can directly influence.

We'd be pleased to share the full role description - just ask.
